1965 Rambler Marlin
I have owned this car for 4 years and have done nothing with it, so I figure that I should give someone else a chance to enjoy it.
It is a pretty solid car. The trunk and floor pans are solid with no signs of repair. The bottom of the doors are good. The paint looks good in the the pictures, but closer inspection will reveal some flaws. I would classify the paint job as OK, but certainly not perfect. The chrome and trim are in good shape, but the window trim and the rear bumper have flaws. All of the glass is good with no cracks.
The interior, for the most part is in good shape. The dash is cracked and has a cover on it. The door panels, carpet and seats are in good shape. The doors open and close solid. All of the windows roll up and down. The lights, turn signals, brake lights, horn, gauges and wipers all work. The radio and the clock do not work. The air conditioning is not functioning, but all the components are there.
The car starts, runs, drives, shifts and stops fine with no abnormal noises or smoke. Over the years, I have driven it around the block a few times when possible. This summer I took it on a 15 mile round trip with no issues. However, I would not consider taking the car on any long trips without going through all the basics (brakes, belts, hoses, plugs, wires , cap, rotor etc.) No major leaks, it will leave a few drops of oil over several months, but no puddles. The tires are OK, but I have no idea how old they are. I have a clear Illinois title in hand.
All in all, it is a nice car to drive as is or you could take it to another level.
