1985 AMC Eagle. I have owned 2 AMC Eagles, this one being the second and most fun. This was my daily driver for over 3 years, and was well maintained at that time. This has mostly sat for the past 2 years, so its time for her to find a new home. Some of the recent parts that have been replaced included, but are not limited to: Outer tie rods ends, Both Front CV Shafts, Steering shock absorber, Front Wheel Bearing, Left Front Radius Arm and Bushings, Rear Drive shaft U-Joints, Front Brake Pads and Rotors, Battery, Intake Gasket. This was a good running vehicle when I was using it daily, and I did try and keep it well maintained.
There is some rust on the drivers floor board, passenger rear floor, and some rust on the left front frame rail. After the replacement of the left radius arm and bushings, I have not gotten a front end alignment, so this car does need an alignment. Also, the last summer I drove this car the heater core went bad, so I by-passed it. Those are the two items that are needed before I would drive it. The left front door handle just stopped working on the outside of the vehicle, and I just noticed the right rear air shock must have a leak, since it is sagging on that side.
I'm sure that I left out something as this is an old car, and not a Restoration piece, and my no reserve entry price for this does reflect that. Hopefully someone out there would appreciate this thing and use it as intended! This was a great vehicle to take on the trails in Northern Michigan, never left me stranded and never got stuck(well maybe once).
Please feel free to ask any questions, and I will have a video link showing this running and driving within the next few days. I would though not recommend driving this away upon purchase an would recommend trailing this to the new home. On Feb-04-16 at 17:47:38 PST, seller added the following information:I was asked a couple questions about the frame, so I uploaded some photos of the frame by the left and right control arms. As you can see the left frame rail is rusty, and the right is fairly clean. Also, the 4 wheel drive does work, have never had a problem with it. And in regards as how far can one drive this vehicle to make it home? If that's a concern than this probably isn't the vehicle for you. This has been sitting for the better part of 2 years, I drove it early this winter when it snowed here just for some fun! But besides that she has been dormant. Please feel free to ask any questions before bidding. But here is the link, hopefully it works:Watch 1985 AMC Eagle on the road again on YouTube here . If not type in 1985 amc eagle into you tube and filter by date and it should pop right up. ALSO, if you have zero feedback, don't bid without contacting me first, I'm trying to get the zero feedback bidders removed asap.
