Selling my 1973 AMC Ambassador Coupe, I had this car shipped here early this year and have been driving it frequently since. Car is very solid with only very minimal rust. The worst of the rust is in the rockers but is not bad at all, the rest of the car including the floor and truck pans are solid, as shown in the pictures. Car runs, drives, steers and stops well, and is all around reliable in general, I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. The engine is a 401 with an Edelbrock R4B intake, and Edelbrock carb which does run very good and pulls strong but, does huff a small bit of smoke on startup. The interior is quite nice with the biggest blemish being the rip in the driver’s seat. All the lights works including the high beam switch on the floor. Clear N.Y. title. Car also comes with roughly a trunkful full of extra parts including a set of glass, trim, and various door parts
However with this being a 40 year old car it does have some issues. With the biggest being the paint, the radio doesn’t work, the driver’s side interior door handle doesn’t work, and the choke wire isn’t hooked up.
