1982 ACM Spirit GT Rally Fighter.runs and drives great, very quick and nimble, very light with tons of torque, good gas milage, very fun to drive, reliable.258 cubic inch Inline 6 cylinder engine (same as all jeeps so plenty of power, and parts are cheap and easy to find)T-5 5 speed tranny, magnum 500 rally wheels. Tons of new parts! Every hose, belt, filter, pump has been replaced with premium quality new parts. New premium shocks (monro black lifetime warranty), new thrush glass packs with stainless steel heat guards (side pipes/lake pipes), new aluminum v8 race radiator (ready for a v8 drop in), new mechanical fuel pump, new extended sway links in rear, new cap, new rotor, new plugs, new wires, new rectifier, new upgraded v8 mastercraft carb (standard jeep upgrade custom jetted and tuned by Gronk carb works), new washable air filter, new windshield, new fail-safe thermostat, new rear ajustable lift kit, new oversized mud tires in the rear, new custom 5 point roll cage, Madmax style shifter switch, 69 impala bucket seats, interior has been stripped and rubber coated. custom hood scoop bunch more new stuff/custom stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting. I just got the front end aligned, and upgraded the door handles to black units off a jeep CJ as they are built better.
Needs: drivers door pins swapped out (replacment pins included), drivers window crank gear replaced (window rolls up and down but top few inches slip), seats bolted down better (seat are through bolted down with a couple bolts but they wiggle a bit), parking brake cable replaced (new barking brake cable included), dash removed to make way for a custom one but didn't get around to it, we can talk about me building dash for it if you want, tach has a loose wire I believe it bounces around a bit), needs new switch to pop trunk, trunk gas struts are tired and should be replaced at some point, needs electric choke element replaced or ajusted. and fuel gauge doesn't work.
We poured our heart and soul into this little beast I replaced tons of parts to make it super reliable (I still have a bin full of the still good parts I replaced that are included) I have put a lot of money into this car and i'm just trying to recover some of my costs, I'm guessing I've put about 5, 000 into it. I'm the second owner. It's the 49 state model and it has always been a dry west coast car so no rust problems. Located in the Bay Area.
I was building this up to rally race with so I removed the smog gear, smog parts are included with the car, if you plan on driving it on the street in areas that require it, you should reinstall them. Its reg and insurance is current and can be driven away. Also includes new parking brake cable, new brake shoes, and new door pins. I'm selling this as a race/off highway car as I don't know what the smog laws are where you live.
