You are bidding on a 1970 AMC Rebel Machine numbers matching 390 4spd, fresh off a complete nut & bolt rotisserie restoration restored to better than new condition. This is one of only 1000 r/w/b cars built of that how many were 4speeds and how many are left, not many. Also one look at the r/w/b ones says MACHINE unlike the other aprox. 1200 solid color ones. I bought this car a few years back in sad looking shape but with a very solid body, I found an NOS front drivers fender and a mint pas. front fender from a parted out machine I also found 2 doors in S.C. that were rust free from another machine that was being parted out. My shop mounted the body to a rotisserie and we had all of the sheet metal media blasted to bare metal, then epoxy coated the entire car, then we repaired anything that showed up from blasting by cutting out the bad forming and butt welding any patches, then body worked and blocked entire car to perfection. We then painted the underside and inside with a single stage paint and the outside with basecoat and cleared then blocked again and buffed. All nuts bolts clips etc. were blasted and painted to correct finishes all new brake lines and fuel lines were installed, the motor and transmission were rebuilt, the seats and door panels were redone along with the headliner, carpet, and dash. The brake booster was redone wiper motor was rebuilt and plated, new starter, date coded plug wires installed, carburetor was rebuilt and plated. Since we used doors from a different machine we had to remove the data plate from the org. door and use correct rivets to install on new door, we also had to remove the decal with the build date and matching vin number and the only way I could do that without destroying it was to cut the sheet metal around it and attach that to the door. When we first finished the car the only things that we could not find was the correct air breather with correct hood seal and the org. exhaust manifolds, since that I have gotten both and installed the air breather but not yet changed the exhaust manifolds. The manifolds will go with the car and if someone pays the buy it now price I will install them before delivery otherwise installation will be left as option to be determined. I have tried to post the pictures that show the details taken the restore this car but could only include the ebay max. of 24 if you want more you can contact me and I will send them out to you. Now her are the numbers that are on the car
