In
1983 the world witnessed the premiers of the “A-Team”, James Bond’s “Octopussy”
and President Regan’s “Star Wars” initiative.
Michael
Jackson’s “Thriller” hit #1, the Dow Jones broke 1, 200 and Hulk Hogan pinned
The Iron Sheik.
It
was the year that “M*A*S*H” ended, Bjorn Borg retired and assembly on this Lagonda chasis #13278
was completed.
If you’re reading this listing then you already
know that these Aston Martin “wedges” are becoming increasingly hard to find, especially
good ones. The reason? Originally priced as the world's second most expensive automobile the Lagonda has recently received quite a bit of attention through it's recent relaunch as the Taraf at a price reportedly in excess of £400, 000. here
The apex of opulence - the
embodiment of the unconventional. This
car is shouts “bold and adventurous”.
I've created a video to help answer questions:
here
Regal interior appointments such as climate
control located in the front and rear, scales of burled walnut line the door
panels, solid-state digital instrumentation. Requiring about 2, 200
man-hours to hand-build by order a mere 645 of these William Towns’ unconventional
origami-designed supercars were ever built and prevailing wisdom estimates only
about half that number remain – assuring that you’ll be the only one on your block with one.
This car performs and shifts very well and gets far more attention than any other exotic production car because it's basically the unicorn of the road and no one has seen one before. It's been posed with for more Facebook profiles than an ocean sunset and the few times that I've valeted it the driver has parked in front of the restaurant and two have actually refused to park it personally as there was fear that it might exceed their insurance liability limit.
I like the idea of an investment that I can experience rather than track in the financials but I purchased this car to drive as evidenced by the relatively high miles for this car - which is what you want to see.
Tires have great tread.
