Up for sale is my 2008 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro AWD with the Tiptronic Automatic tansmission.
This is currently my daily driver. I drive it primarily on the highway about 75 miles per day. I do not smoke, nor do I allow anyone to smoke in my car.The car runs well and is very spirited. With the Quattro AWD it is excellent in the snow!I'm selling it because my wife and I would like to move up to an SUV with a bit more room. When I bought the car at just over 107k miles it was in need of a turbo and a head gasket. So, at that time, instead of simply making repairs, I had the following upgrades done to the car: Integrated Engineering Sport Cylinder head with Ferrea SS racing valvesBrand new camshaftsARP head studs and cam girdle boltsIntegrated Engineering HPFP (high pressure fuel pumpNew HPFP lifterHad the stock turbo upgraded from K03 to K04 with brand new Borg Warner cartridge and upgraded 360° bearingLatest Revision OEM Diverter Valve (DV)New S3 fuel injectorsR8 Ignition Coil Packs304SS OBX Cat back exhaust034 Motorsports catch can kitUnitronic Stage 2+ performance tuneOil pressure gaugeNew oil pumpNew oil coolerWater pumpThermostatTiming chainTiming camshaft sprocketVariable timing solenoidTiming beltSerpentine beltAFE nanofiber high flow air filter All of these repairs and upgrades have brought the Horsepower from the stock 200hp up to approximately 300hp, making this a fun daily driver. (I have receipts available upon request)I use only AMSOIL motor oil in this car and either Genuine VW/Audi oil filters or MANN oil filters (who makes the filter for VW/Audi).
This car is not perfect, however. It has normal wear and tear, as well as some minor dings, chips, and scratches as can be seen in the pictures. The front bumper and fronts of the fenders and hood appear to have been peppered by a salt truck (which can be seen in the pics if zooming in). Unless you're looking up close it isn't really all that noticeable. But, if you're very particular, it may annoy you.
Like just about every 2.0T FSI engine out there, this one also consumes oil. Since the reason apparently stems from a defective piston oil-control ring design, the options to remedy that are either to replace the pistons and rings and have the cylinders rehoned or get a freshly rebuilt short block assembly. It all depends on you. I considered getting the Integrated Engineering Sport short block assembly so I would virtually have a brand new engine. But, with no garage and very little time that wasn't a feasible option for me. So. I opted to simply keep topping off the oil as needed and periodically running a bottle of Performance Improver Fuel System cleaner in the gas tank to prevent the spark plugs from fouling from carbon buildup. You may choose to do similarly.
Overall, this is a very nice car that runs and drives well and is awesome in the snow. It's ready to buy and drive as-is. Or, if you want to go all out, put in a new IE Sport short block for the ultimate in performance and reliability. And if you want, add a Unitronic High Flow Cat and up the horsepower to around 365hp with a great low end power boost.
