I don’t need two convertibles. This Audi is a daily driver not a Show room Queen without any blemishes. There are signs of use but everything works as it should. I owned this Audi since 6 years and had never trouble with it running. The Automatic Top quit working based on a broken wire in the trunk lid. A common Problem as I found out. Wire was replaced and Problem solved. The previous Owner had a connection for a MP3 Player installed. I never used it no Idea if it works. The radio recognizes the connector in the Menu.
Motor is a 2.8 L V6.It runs smooth and quiet. The Automatic (not a tip tronic) shifts perfect. There are no signs of Oil or water leakage and certainly no corrosion. The car is a 1997 Perl white with just 138, 000 Miles.
This Audi has also the second safety system in it. Besides the Driver and Passenger Airbag it is equipped with Audi Patented “Pro con ten” system. In case of a Frontal crash the steering wheel is pulled away from the driver while inflating the Airbag to avoid head injuries.
A brake job was done end of last Year with new rotors and pads front and back. The whole Brake system was flushed out and refilled with new brake fluid.
Two new tires just installed on front June 19, all four tires have been balanced
What’s wrong with it?
The driver and passenger seat have a few cracks in the leather. Some areas of seats and door panels have a slight brownish discoloration.
The heater works only through the windshield, not direct to driver or Passenger. The Flap in the heater box came loose and decided to stay in this position. The amount of work to fix it is not justified, heater still works. I just want to mention this to be fair and not to hide anything.
The prize for this Audi is in line with KBB and there is no emergency to sell it. Do not call if you want this car for a dumping prize, not going to happen. If there is no market for this Audi, I continue driving it.
If you are interested you get a technically sound vehicle to a good prize.
