Vehicle Photos: Vehicle Description: Buried in a Garage for the Last 20+ Years!! Documented 1 Owner Since New Documented European Delivery Car Original 2.9L with Triple SU Carburetors Original Hardtop, Soft Top, Tonneau, Spare Ready for a Top Notch Restoration!! Until just recently, this car had been parked in a garage buried by all the things we collect over a lifetime. It was parked in the early 90s because the owner had developed serious health issues, and sat covered until recently. Upon inspection we found the car to be in very nice condition overall, but in need of restoration. At one time this car had been driven all over, including throughout Europe, where the original owner and his father spent time studying art. Upon their return to the US, the car spent most of its years tooling around the Chicagoland area, as weather permitted. Ordered in Colorado Red with a black interior and white hardtop, this Austin Healey has stood the test of time. The paint is in decent condition and was resprayed some 30 years ago. All of the chrome work is original, and in great condition considering its age as well. Under the car in the nooks and crannies youll see that the car is very clean and sports a period performance exhaust system. When state side, the hardtop was immediately pulled off and put in storage, only to be put back on for the second time a few weeks ago! Inside the cockpit, the all original interior was just cleaned and inspected with good results. The windshield glass is good, along with all trim, knobs, and gauges. Even the seats are in decent condition, along with the soft top and tonneau cover as well. The car does have its original drivetrain, including the 2.9 straight six, adorned with triple SU Carburetors, and the overdrive 4 speed. We recently oiled the motor and were pleased to find that it was in good condition and freely moving. The transmission does move into the gears, but cant be accurately test as the rear brakes are still seized. We have lightly prepped the Healey for sale, only to see what the true condition of the car is. Please review the detailed photos and contact us to discuss the car further. Due to the overall condition and rarity of the 62 wed love to see it get back on the road soon!! Please contact us to discuss restoration possibilities, or just to set up an inspection.
