I am listing this for my friend who has owned this Austin Healey for 16 years. An owner of several other classic cars, he has driven this Healey approximately 16, 700 miles. It has been well maintained, garaged and serviced properly. There are no known mechanical issues, she runs great and drives beautifully. This Austin Healey was freshened up prior to my friend's ownership. The black paint work(original color) and most of the chrome was done prior to his purchase. Very, very, nice, but not perfect, there are some small scratches, rub marks and a couple little dents.
This is a good running driver, that you can take anywhere. Some of the work he performed as follows: the gearbox and overdrive was professionally rebuilt about 12, 000 miles ago. A newer convertible top installed (2 years), a stainless steel exhaust system was added, the carburetors were replaced with factory (new old stock) SU's and five (5) chrome wire wheels were purchased some time ago. The tires have good tread, but are older, you might consider replacing them. A nice, period correct, wood, steering wheel has been installed along with a stereo under the dash area. The Heritage Trust Certificate is with the car.
A few things needing attention: The doors could use a bit of adjustment, the windows rattle a bit and the drivers side door glass has some scratches. She idles a bit rough until warmed up, she pulls strong in all gears and shifts smoothly. She hasn't been driven since October. The interior is as purchased and this Healey would benefit greatly from a new Moss replacement kit .
