1967 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 Mark III Phase II

Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 Mark III Phase II (1967)
for sale

Price: US $15,000.00

Description:

Taken off the road in the mid 90's as a running car and stored with interior removed as the former owner intended on restoring it. When I bought this car many years ago it is was complete minus the interior. It remains like this today with parts of the interior missing - exactly the way you see it in the pictures. I bought the car as an enthusiast who not only admires the beauty of what I believe to be one of the prettiest automotive designs ever made, but as a collector who also enjoys both the rarity and desirability of the last production year Big Healey. If you are going to restore and own a 3000 BJ8 MK III model anyone who knows these cars will tell you that the 1967 model year demands a market premium at auction and is on every enthusiasts wish to have list. Sadly my garage is full and this car which I've had in dry storage needs to move on to someone who has the time and space for it. Here are some highlights of the car:
- 1967 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III Phase II model
- Colorado Red Exterior
- Black Interior
- Built the last week of June 1967 (late car)
- Delivered new with electric overdrive, wire wheels, heater and tonneau cover
- 50, 136 actual miles
- British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate dated and signed from 1984
- Correct original number matching drive train
While I have sold other cars outside of the country I wish to sell in the US where the buyer sends a trailer to haul it away.
Please do not ask me to drag this to the port to ship! If you're a Big Healey BJ8 lover and you've been waiting for this deal and it doesn't get any better than this!
**The car is sold AS IS with no warranties expressed or implied

“The car is complete but missing most of the interior. I am selling it as a PROJECT. The car will need to be completely disassembled, refurbished and restored in my opinion. The frame is solid and former repair work by a good reputable shop (I was told Healey Surgeons of Maryland by the previous owner, but I have no invoices to prove this) seems to have been done. Both the inner rockers and outer riggers appear to have been repaired to me. If you look at the pictures of the interior you will see a brown color over the original red paint, this is a sealing primer - NOT rust. The seat backs, door panels, carpet and radio are all missing, but can be found here on EBay. I have an extra rear shroud for the car and it will go with the car to the new buyer as a spare piece. Project BJ8's are hard to find and you have found one. While the engine is free and I could probably get it to run, it currently has no fuel in the system.”
