1963 Austin Healey
Selling my 1963 Austin Healey 3000 MK2 4 seater. Dark Maroon over Ivory with black interior and NEW chrome wire wheels and tires ( bought last month and put maybe 50 miles on them $2, 600).
The car runs well with a strong engine, but has a slightly noisy first gear (probably a bearing), which is not uncommon in these cars.
The story
- I bought this car and it was owned by a gentleman in his 80's that passed away and his wife sold the car. It was his baby for many many years and it shows the care it was given. Mileage is accurate at almost 54, 000 miles but I have no written proof so it is exempt.
I have the British Heritage Certified Trust and a picture of it is included. The car from the factory was Florida Green with a Grey top and Gray interior. That is RARE!!!!! The previous owner did a restoration on the car probably 20 years ago and changed the color.
All gauges, lights, etc. work as they should, turn signals and horn work as well. No radio.

Body
- Original sheet metal, no patches on panels. Floors look original with no rust. One rear outrigger has a patch but is not detectable unless it's pointed out, professional repair for sure.
Drivetrain
- 6 cylinder runs like new, 4 speed transmission with electric overdrive that works flawlessly. 1st gear has a slight bearing noise but has no effect on drive-ability..
Interior
- Nice leather seats, door panels, top and boot. No rips, tears or wear showing. Door glass, windshield in good condition.
This is a nice looking presentable Healey that is solid with the exception of one patch on a chassis outrigger that is barely visible, but I want to disclose all I know about the car. It does have several scratches and chips from driving and probably a 8 out of 10 on the paint with 10 being perfect.
You could buy this car and drive it to a British Car Show the next weekend and be proud, with the assurance that any reasonable amount of money invested would yield a GREAT return.
Note- I require a $500.00 deposit thru Paypal and the balance by Cash or Wire Transfer in 5 days. I will help with loading for a transporter but you locate your own transporter. If you send a check, it must clear my account before the vehicle leaves. If you can't follow these rules please don't bid.
There is no warranty implied, my description is as accurate as I can make it. I encourage buyers to look if your unsure, . I don't think anyone will disappointed in the car, as I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. It runs, drives and looks as good as some on Ebay priced twice as high.
