Description:

Description You are looking at an outstanding Survivor 1961 Austin Healey 3000 Mk II BN7 Convertible. This beauty started life and spent most of it's days in California which is evident when looking at underbody shots. It was consigned by a local older consignor who has cherished this car for years, but has decided it is time to part with their pride and joy. Below is a video collection of the car:
Please scroll down and enjoy the 250+ photos. If you cannot view all the photos, please click here.
This car was the owner's cherished possession and has been extremely well kept. It has been garage stored and extremely well maintained since he bought it. This car appears to be a mild custom with the door handles removed and the color changed to a bright yellow. We believe the engine and transmission to be original but no guarantees. We don't believe it has seen any winters ever.
Mechanically, this car runs like a Swiss watch. It is smooth, shifts well and drives very straight and solid. Note the clutch grabs near the floor and shifts, starts and stops as it should. The wire wheels and tires are not original. The headlights, wipers, and other accessories we tested work. It has been maintained by a local Austin Healey mechanic when it has needed anything. The odometer reads 09962 and would guess it is 109962 original miles.
Cosmetically, it is in great shape aside from the few VERY minor dings from age and use. The interior is also fairly new including the bucket seat material. Please look carefully at the photos to see the outstanding condition of this vehicle. It is truly an outstanding classic for the age and we love the styling.
We cannot warranty any parts and as with any vintage vehicle, they are always a project in some way. Please note this before bidding if you are looking for a vehicle that will operate like a new vehicle. Collector cars are many times tempermental and reliability can be a factor on some. We also did not test each accessory or feature, and only drove the vehicle for a short distance. Also note there are marks and dings from use and age.
Any of these should be trailered to their destination until the vehicle is checked over for safety (tires, etc). The title is free and clear, and we are also requiring a bill of sale be signed by the new owner stating this car is being purchased as-is.
It is a straight car as you can see in the photos. The colors are great and it is very old school. As stated, it gets a ton of attention and would make a great addition to your British or classic car collection.
Please call our store at (414) 727-0600 for additional information on this vehicle. Best of all, we are selling this beauty with NO RESERVE, but do reserve the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally. Good luck in the auction.
