Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this excellent, ground-up, nut-and-bolt, body-off-the-chassis restoration by Austin Healey specialists John and Robert Wilson of Healey Lane of Oregon. This vehicle was completed a couple years ago with only 1300 break-in miles since the restoration. It was privately commissioned and built for one of their customers with no expense spared and features additional extras such as a full hide(leather) interior, wool carpeting, stunning Derrington-style period alloy wood wheel with matching shift knob, foglamps and badge bar, full weather equipment, balanced rebuilt engine with unleaded cylinder head conversion, Falcon stainless steel exhaust system, and upgraded 72-spoke Dayton stainless wire wheels.
This car was stripped to the bare chassis superstructure and shot blasted. The chassis was carefully resealed and properly painted. It was then built up with completely rebuilt suspension with powdercoated components, rebuilt shock absorbers, new bushes, braking system, brake lines, restored springs, zinc-plated hardware, new wiring harness, fuel tank, etc.
The engine was sent out and professionally rebuilt and balanced, and the cylinder head converted to unleaded fuel. The same thorough treatment was given to the transmission and overdrive unit. A new clutch was fitted along with new/rebuilt ancillaries such as a water pump, rebuilt starter/generator, carburetors, electronic distributor, spin-on filter, etc.
The car's body parts were stripped to bare metal and show quality bodywork and paint was performed on very nice sheetmetal. The car's body was carefully reassembled on it's newly-rebuilt chassis with superb results: excellent straight panels with great panel fit and gaps. At that point, all rechromed or new items were fitted along with a new rubber kit, lights, glass, wood dashboard, etc.
The car was completely custom retrimmed in full leather with all new materials from scratch. This also included wool carpeting, Everflex 3-piece weather equipment in matching biscuit, new seat foam, Bristleflex door seals, Armacord trunk kit, etc.
The end result is a beautifully finished late BJ-8 in a distinctive, hugely attractive, and rare color scheme. It is one of the best cars currently on offer on today's market. This car has covered a mere 1300 miles since completion and is ready to be enjoyed. It is a totally finished, nut and bolt restoration and offers it's next fortunate owner the immediate joy of driving such a fine car, bypassing the waiting time of restoration.

Title Information
: Vehicles titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. If payment is made by cashier's or personal checks we will hold all titles for 10 days or until funds have cleared.
