Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this desirable Triple Carb, Centershift, 4-seater Big Healey. This car was recently purchased from it's long term VA owner of 35 years who performed a nice restoration on the car. The car is running and driving fine with excellent rebuilt mechanicals, but just needs a few weekends of work to put in the final touches and finish it off. It is fitted with it's correct, triple carburetor MK2 engine and the later, centerchange gearbox. The MK2 was the last of the open sidecurtain roadsters, and is the fastest and most usable of the bunch, with the later attractive vertical bar grille.
The car is finished in a very attractive Green/Biscuit color scheme. The restoration included all properly performed metal repair, nice body and paintwork, mostly new chrome and rubber, fresh 72-spoke chrome wire wheels fitted with quality radial tires, rebuilt and balanced engine, rebuilt carbs, generator, fuel system, brakes, retrimmed interior, new wiring harness, door aluminum kits, stainless Falcon exhaust system, etc. Included in the sale are pictured items including a new pair of sidecurtains, custom made black canvas tonneau cover, and associated new parts in boxes to complete the restoration.
The car starts easily on the button with perfect oil pressure, no smoke or noises, with a very balanced smooth-revving engine. The gearbox is excellent with a quiet first gear, good syncros, and a quick acting overdrive unit. The car runs and drives well as expected. When applied hard, the brakes pull up slightly to the right. Overall, the car's mechanicals are excellent as one would expect on a recent restoration.
The car is completely usable and drivable as is, but needs the final 5 or 10% of cosmetic finishing. This would include the fine tuning of door fit and door seals, fitting a trunk kit ($150), some minor interior/upholstery work, fitting weather equipment, rubber knick-knacks, seat belts, some noted touch-up, some wiring, etc. 3 or 4 days of work would yield a nicely finished, attractive, restored 3000 MK2.

Title Information
: Vehicles titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. If payment is made by cashier's or personal checks we will hold all titles for 10 days or until funds have cleared.
