Thanks for stopping by to take a look at our very cool 1960 Austin Healey Bugeye or Frogeye Sprite. Built for just a two year run, the iconic Bugeye is one of a kind. This great car was rebuilt throughout to be as close to it’s 1960 origins as possible in 2016. Every part was either completely rebuilt or replaced.
Rarity
Increasingly rare in unmodified form, the Bugeye Sprite is a joy to drive and easy to own.
Exterior.
Antique white respray a few years ago, the paint buffs out nice and shiny. The respray was complete, inside, outside and underneath.
Wheels, Tires
13” standard wheels with Austin Healey caps. New premium tyres. New spare tyre and cover.
Engine
948 cc stock motor rebuilt to spec and showing perfect compression across all four cylinders. Freshly serviced radiator, new water pump, belts and hoses. Hardened valves for unleaded fuel. All fuel delivery, electrical is new. New heater core and all hoses. Polished carbs. Runs excellent.
Transmission
4 Speed Rib Case Manual transmission is rock solid and freshly rebuilt. New synchros and gears. New Clutch package. AH shift knob
Braking, Steering
Brakes are excellent and operating properly. All have been rebuilt, lines and hoses are new. Lever shocks, bushings, etc. Front suspension rebuilt. Fresh Alignment.
Battery
New Interstate Battery
We are an Interstate battery dealer. Warranty service is available Nationwide through approximately 60, 000 Interstate dealers.
Service
Fresh service and ready to go! Coolant, oil, filters, hoses and belts, plus plugs, points and condensor are all new. Unless OEM, all parts are NAPA and nationally warranted.
Trim
The chrome bumpers are fresh as are the stainless trim pieces. Door trim is off and being polished at the time of these pictures but will be replaced as new, see pics.
Convertible Top
The convertible top is new. Bows are included. Side windows are included. See the pics.
Glass
The glass is in excellent condition. All weatherstrips have been replaced with new.
Interior
Excellent upholstery, carpets, dash and door panels. Gauges, lights, switches work properly.
Odometer
The odometer shows 11303 miles and operates properly.
DMV
The title is clear and all documentation is included. No back fees are due. No smog is required for California residents. Very low cost Antique registration for most US States.
Documentation
A thick build book with extensive documentation is included. There is documentation, receipts, photos and historical information. Clear title.
