This Sprite has been given a thorough restoration with appropriate upgrades to engine and brakes- with an attention to detail that must be seen.
Highlights:
New floor panels welded in, exterior body panels taken to
bare metal, prepared, primed, and painted Old English White.
Interior re-upholstered in deep red vinyl with white piping
on seats, with carpets to compliment seats (interior kits from UK).
Dashboard rebuilt with original instruments and controls
cleaned, refitted, and functional.
Original 948cc engine replaced with freshly rebuilt 1275cc
engine. Less than 250 miles on completed
restoration and 1275 engine installation. The original 43 hp 948cc engine, which runs smoothly and has excellent
compression, will be available to the buyer free of charge.
New clutch kit, rebuilt ribcase gearbox.
Front suspension rebuilt and fitted with MKII disc brakes.
Rear axle housing removed, cleaned, painted, and fitted with
3.7:1 final drive, MKII drum brakes, and competition axle shafts.
Hydraulic system (brakes and clutch) rebuilt with all new
components- new 0.75 bore master brake/clutch cylinder, Cunifer hard
lines throughout with stainless steel flex lines.
Minilite style (Minator) 13 x 5 alloy wheels (5), new Michelin
175-70-13 tires
New black vinyl soft top, new steel folding bows, serviceable black tonneau cover.
New side curtains, including hardware (UK).
New custom California Car Cover weather proof car cover.
New MKI interior mirror and bullet style left door mirror.
Original jack and tools in pouch.
Ride height adjusted for appearance and improved handling.
