This Sprite has been given a thorough restoration with appropriate upgrades to engine and brakes- with an attention to detail that must be seen.
Highlights:
New floor panels welded in, exterior body panels taken to bare metal, prepared, primed, and painted Old English White.
Interior re-upholstered in deep red vinyl with white piping on seats, with carpets to compliment seats (interior kits from UK).
Dashboard rebuilt with original instruments and controls cleaned, refitted, and functional.
Original 948cc engine replaced with freshly rebuilt 1275cc engine. Less than 250 miles on completed restoration and 1275 engine installation. The original 43 hp 948cc engine, which runs smoothly and has excellent compression, will be available to the buyer free of charge.
New clutch kit, rebuilt ribcase gearbox.
Front suspension rebuilt and fitted with MKII disc brakes.
Rear axle housing removed, cleaned, painted, and fitted with 3.7:1 final drive, MKII drum brakes, and competition axle shafts.
Hydraulic system (brakes and clutch) rebuilt with all new components- new 0.75 bore master brake/clutch cylinder, Cunifer hard lines throughout with stainless steel flex lines.
Minilite style (Minator) 13 x 5 alloy wheels (5), new Michelin 175-70-13 tires
New black vinyl soft top, new steel folding bows, serviceable black tonneau cover.
New side curtains, including hardware (UK).
New custom California Car Cover weather proof car cover.
New MKI interior mirror and bullet style left door mirror.

MKII kingpins, spindles, bolt on hubs, and disc rotors.
Timken roller bearings with spacers shimmed and axle nut torqued to factory specification.
MK II brake calipers rebuilt with stainless steel pistons. Stainless steel hoses. EBC Greenstuff pads.
Silicone steering rack gaiters.
Stock front springs, pan lowered with alloy 5/8 spacers.
5/8 anti-sway bar, with new stock links, and polyurethane chassis mount bushings.
Front damper oil flushed and replaced.
Rear suspension
MKI axle housing removed, cleaned, and painted.
MKII drum brakes fitted with new slave cylinders with speed bleeders, hardware, and brake shoes.
MKII brake backing plates trimmed for MK II wheel hubs. Stainless steel brake hose.
New Huffaker Engineering competition rear axles.
New outer axle bearings and seals.
3.7:1 crown wheel/pinion gears, alloy case cleaned and clear-coated, new pinion seal.
Stainless steel e-brake rods and fasteners.
Tube type dampers with brackets.
New quarter elliptic springs, adjusted for ride height.
Red Line 75-90 synthetic lube.
Engine 1275 cc Sprite Series A with +0.040 7cc dished AE/Nural pistons.
Pierce Manifolds alloy 5-port head with stock intake/exhaust valves, and stock valve train.
Competition head gasket, silicone valve cover gasket and bushes. Silicone bypass hose, stainless steel clamps.
Cam reground to mild street profile and lifters resurfaced (by DeLong Cams).
Compression ratio 10.3:1. Runs well on ethanol-free 89 octane gasoline.
New Tri-metal bearings (mains and rods), new cam and crankshaft thrust washers.
New alloy rear engine plate.
ARP bolts/studs (mains, rods, head, and flywheel).
Center main cap strapped.
New Iwis double row timing chain.
New water pump, new star drive oil pump.
Gerard's lip style rear main seal.
Lower end balanced.
Spin-on oil filter - Mahle OC21.
Distributor rebuilt by Advanced Distributors- advance curve to match cam. Champion RA8HC plugs.
New long center branch exhaust manifold with 1.5' exhaust pipe- Cherry Bomb silencer from UK.
Rebuilt SU HS2 carbs with Cooper MKI style pancake air filters.
New Fidanza alloy flywheel, with new Borg & Beck clutch and disc. New release bearing and clips.
Braided stainless steel remote clutch slave cylinder hose and speed bleeder.
Original style downflow radiator with kevlar hoses, stainless steel clamps.
Valvoline VR-1 20-50 wt engine oil.
Gearbox
Rebuilt ribcase with Moss first motion shaft lip-type oil seal, new rear seal, and gaskets.
New laygear and layshaft.
New synchro rings and bearings.
New rear gearbox mounts.
Valvoline VR-1 20-50 wt lube.
