Here we have a beautiful resto-mod 1968 Austin Healey sprite! Fully restored from the ground up, this car is guaranteed to turn heads wherever you go and leave you with a smile on your face as big as it's own! We'll start from the beginning... the car is actually a 1968, with a clear title, legally registered in NC. It has had a custom fiberglass widebody kit seamlessly installed, including rounded rear fender flares and a one piece bugeye style front end. The original bullet proof 1275 has been rebuilt and bored .040 over, with a high performance cam, high compression pistons, ported and polished head, full length tubular header and sidepipe exhaust, and is topped with a super streetable (and super reliable) weber downdraft carb. The ignition is provided through a Mallory distributor and MSD 6A box. A high output denso style mini alternator has been fitted, as well as a remote, high mounted cooling system expansion tank. Two electric fans run through a solid state fan control and blow air through a cross flow radiator. The entire vehicle has been completely professionally rewired to exorcise the car of it's lucas demons. It's also got the 'rib case' 4 speed manual transmission (with a slight grind in 2nd included with no extra charge lol). The brakes have also been upgraded from 4 wheel drums to front disc/rear drum, controlled by a Tilton adjustable bias dual master cylinder setup (the clutch is also in there). From there, we'll move on to the interior. The dashboard is a one off custom piece, fitted with a full complement of auto meter ultra lite gauges, a moto lita knife handle steering wheel directing things, the factory seats have been canned in favor of a set of super comfy Corbeau race seats with 5 point racing harnesses, and the entire interior has been rhino lined. All that sits beneath carpet floor mats. The trunk is separated from the cabin by a custom built MDF speaker board with 2 6x9's mounted in it. The trunk has also been rhino lined, and contains the battery and fuse panel. Underneath the car is an adjustable aftermarket Panhard bar with leaf springs and adjustable shocks in the rear, the entire undercarriage is rhino lined, HAS NO RUST in the floor pans, NO RUST in the trunk, NO RUST on the undercarriage anywhere, and stock coils with original knee shocks handle the business up front. This car has been built with only the best parts, no expense spared anywhere! It's a reliable, streetable, daily drivable custom hot rod! Rides stiff, handles like a slot car, and gets looks, smiles, and thumbs-up no matter where you go. It's not perfect, got a couple of little rust bubbles on the passenger door and the drivers side just behind the hood. The windshield has a crack right down the middle.
