Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a super cool 1970 Volkswagen Beetle. This little Beetle has come a long way since rolling off the assembly line in 1970. Gone is the original flat four which would’ve had something in the neighborhood of 57 horsepower. In it’s place is a freshly built Willy’s Racing Engines Dual Port 1, 825cc. This screaming air cooler has twin34 Weber carbs, as well as a custom exhaust which allows it to really breathe. . The result is about 200 horsepower and one of the fastest Beetles around. The car will attract a crowd everywhere it goes. It wears bright lime green and black two tone paint, and sports a unique roof “snorkel” which scoops air into the oil cooler. The transmission has been upgraded to a “Freeway Flyer” 4 speed and even the interior has been fully updated. As if it needed another way to gather attention, it’s party trick is the tilt forward fiberglass front end. What a great way to get into the classic car hobby. This Beetle could be the star of your next cruise night, and for a fraction of the price of a restored muscle car. The really fun part is, with the light weight, and the increased horsepower, you might even surprise a few muscle cars off the line! How to Purchase:

-Bid or send a Best Offer with confidence - call, text, or email with any questions before bidding. We want you to know exactly what you're looking at. Just ask us for more pictures or a custom tailored video.
-$1000 deposit needed within 24 hours of offer being accepted.
-A deposit is a commitment to puchase and is non-refundable, it is applied to the purchase amount.
-Payment methods: ACH, wire transfer, cashier's check, credit card (3% fee), personal check (10 business days to clear), and of course - cash. PayPal not accepted.
-Signed purchase contracts, cleared payment in full, and a copy of your driver's license will be needed before the vehicle is released.
-Our hours are 9-5pm EST, Monday through Saturday.
-Taxes are subject to location of vehcile and buyer's place of residency. Buyer is responsible for taxes paid.
- An offer is a commitment to purchase and is not contingent upon inspection, financing, or any other terms.
Fees and Taxes
A $175.94 document fee will be added to the sales price. All purchases may be subject to any applical tax, title, and licensing fees. Taxes are subject to location of vehicle and buyer's place of residency. Buyer is responsible for taxes paid. All credit cards are charged a 3% fee.
