This 1996 Bentley Brooklands LWB (long wheel base) features a stunning (Bentley) peacock blue exterior and a rich/sophisticated parchment colored supple leather interior with co-ordinated blue piping complemented by the luxurious burled wood interior including dash, consol and door trim. The LWB model affords the rear passenger area an additional 4 of legroom. This model was quite often used as a private limousine. This classic British automobile looks, feels, and drives like it just left the dealer's showroom. The traditional Rolls Royce 8 cylinder engine handles beautifully in the city and feels like a Boeing 747 ascending in flight when accelerating on a highway. Every luxury appointment imaginable including an impressive sound system, burled wood fold down tables behind driver's and passenger's seats, rear reading/working lights, trickle charger in the trunk and of course power everything. With only 26, 053 miles on the odometer, this magnificent British beast of an automobile spent the first 80% of its life in Naples, Florida where it was owned and driven occasionally in-season by a 'snowbird' couple (or their driver) who wintered in South Florida. Having purchased the vehicle with the intent of driving her, I had her shipped to my home in Toronto, Canada via enclosed carrier that specialized in transporting luxury vehicles. I do go into the garage on a daily basis, looking at, sitting in and talking to Big Bertha but other than the time I spend personally washing, polishing and detailing her, which I find relaxing, I must admit she does not get out much. Having co-produced and co-stared with Vincent Price in a television series that aired internationally and more recently co-staring in a feature film with an Academy Award winner I have enjoyed both my 'private time' with Bertha, and the rare scenarios when I drive her to premieres and autograph sessions or just out for an occasional cruise but, she is continuously whispering to me saying, I was designed, engineered and built to drive. My wife agrees, stating regularly that I am doing this magnificently crafted and finished classic automobile an injustice by suppressing all of that beauty and power. I am therefore giving someone else an opportunity to enjoy the same exhilarating thrust of this spotless engine and the stimulation I have felt looking out the wide expanse of glass and down the massive bonnet to the Flying B Bentley hood ornament. Their really is no other vehicle in this class and this particular automobile is ready for a new life experience.
