2007 Bentley Continental GTC Convertible2 owner car. I purchased it in 2009 for my wife.Absolutely No paint work or accident historySuper Loaded!
So, you are in the market for a fairly priced GTC? Ok. Let's stop here. First, let me tell you about me. I own one of the leading european service stations in the country. We've been in business since 1959. Now, let's talk about the Bentley GT, and GTC. These are fantastic automobiles and are built with a build quality that is second to none. Now, that's not to say they are without flaws. I look at these cars on ebay, offered by dealers. Most of them you see the TPMS light on, or tire pressure monitoring system light on. The reason being, the sensors in the wheels have a service life or 5 or 6 years. Once they time out, the light comes on. These sensors CANNOT be bought aftermarket and cost about $380 a piece, one for each wheel. These are brand new in this car. The next inherent issue with these cars is scary, you can research it. The scuttle area, or area between the windshield and firewall is made to collect rain water, these scuttles accrue leaves and debris and clog the very small drain holes over time and that area fills with water. The caveat being all the cars computers are also stored in this area, and wiring becomes corroded. It's not if but when this will happen, and 80% of the cars I inspect for my clients have scuttle corrosion damage. This car has no corrosion in the scuttle, and the drain holes have been enlarged so it never does happen. The next issue is the front suspension. The GT and GTC are based upon the VW Phaeton chassis, and use control arms from that car. They wear very quickly and are very expensive to repair. This car has had all the control arms replaced in the last 7, 000 or so miles. (I took advantage of my extended warranty). The next issue is brakes. A full pad and rotor job on these cars, required at about 30k miles but usually never done, runs to the tune of $3, 000. These brakes are all brand new within the last 1000 miles. The tires on the car are Continentals I believe and have only 2000 miles or so of use out of them.
I bought this car back in 2009 from a Bentley dealer in Florida with about 17, 000 miles on it. I have a house there and kept it down there. I bought the car for my lovely wife to drive, but unfortunately, she lacks moral fiber and I divorced her last year. I kept the car and registered it here in Illinois. The carfax shows 4 owners on the car, but it's only two. Once when I transferred title to IL through a dealer buddy of mine, and once when I took my evil ex wife off the title.
So, I have a 3 car garage at home and collect antique cars as a hobby. For a divorce present to myself I bought a brand new Lamborghini, and well...I just don't have room for the car anymore. My girlfriend keeps asking to use this car, but that is just creepy, and if she knew it were my ex wifes car, she'd have a heart attack. So, I decided to sell the car. I don't need the money, and I priced the car under anything else like this. Remember, a white GTC is worth about 10% more than any other color GTC.
So, back to this car. .Well, it don't need a damn thing. The car does not have a dent or a scratch in it, although it has a tiny rock chip, in the front bumper, about the size of a tip of a pen, that will not photograph without a 80 megapixel digital camera. I'm using an iphone here in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot. There is also a very tiny hairline crack in the paint on the front bumper about a inch or so in length. You can't see it unless you are on top of it. I didn't want any paint work on the car, so I never corrected it. You would not believe that since these cars are aging, most of them 85% or so have had at least the bumpers painted. The convertible top is perfect, and yes...the finicky third brake light works fine. The car does not leak a drop of anything. I am a very anal person, everything works as it should. The interior of the car, well, the back seat was used once I think. The front seats are as nice as they can be for a 07 with 35k miles on it. The drivers bolster showed a little dye removal (light interior) so I had that corrected. The interior looks fantastic.
I have all 3 sets of keys for the car, as well as all books and manuals.
Remember, these cars have issues that if not corrected, can run you into the $10k range in no time. All the service is up to date on the car, all fluids exchanged regurally, ect. Batteries (primary and secondary) are less than a year old. ($700)
In short, my pictures stink, I'll take some new ones when I have her washed over the weekend.
Last but not least. The price is 70k. That's it. I am not open to negotiation of any means. I priced it at auction value. That's it. I will not take one red cent less than $70, 000.00 I don't care if it's cash, loan check, wire transfer, ect. There will be no set aside.
The good thing from buying from me is I am a perfectionist with extensive Bentley knowledge, and this is GOOD car. Be wary of dealers selling these cars, as they all for the majority have issues that I have corrected. Secondly, I am a private owner...save on $6, 000 worth of sales tax!
This is a expensive purchase, don't save a few grand to buy a car that needs servicing. Buy from a Bentley owner with the knowledge of the car and the extensive service history. I might not have the pretty pictures and the tire shine, but I have a better car! I own this car outright. There are no liens or anything of that nature on the car. It is a no stories perfect carfax and autocheck car.
I'm open to questions about the car. You can reach my on my cell phone at any decent hour at 312 622-7533.
