NOTE FROM OWNER:
Bought the BMW in 2010 locally from a doctor. Was driven by his wife and has always been stored inside. Included in the sale is a traffic ticket I received March 3, 2010 for no registration or insurance! My four year old wanted to go riding in the cheesebox and I got nabbed by the local cop. Las registered it in 2011 and then has sat in storage since while I chased other shiny objects. All my vehicles and motorcycles are Driver Quality and I look for clean original cars and this one is an excellent example. Has chips and scratches from being over 40 years old and is a nice original car.
NOTE FROM YORCHIE:
Collector thinning the herd. Pulled the 2002 out of storage on Feb. 18/19, 2016 and started with a couple of shots of starting fluid. Drove it over to Mechanic shop to put on lift to shoot video of under the BMW and also had a Pre-Inspection done. Drives nice and tight shifts like new. All the windows work correctly. Wing windows work correctly. Rear passenger windows open and close correctly with latch. Washed off exterior at local car wash and the interior/underhood has not been cleaned. Basically AS-STOREDand runs.

CORRECTIONS OF VIDEO COMMENTARY:
Owner cannot find the original AIR CLEANER. Will be included if found
Owner also remembers a AM radio for this car but not sure if the AM/FM Blaupunkt is original
In video did not know how to turn on wipers - The wipers function correctly and has two speeds
Turn signals are on the right stalk and wiper is on the left side stalk

Weber Carburator replaced original carb.

Front tires: Cooper Trendsetter SE - 165/80x13 with 6/32 tread depth
Rear Tires: Starfire Flite Line IV - 165/80x13 with 6/32 tread depth
Spare Tire: Michelin MX-Radial X
Engine Heater installed (used for cold Montana winters to heat coolant)
Sunroof operated correctly and handle folds into holder correctly
All lights function • Horn works • Wipers work • Seat Belt buzzer sounds
Radiator has brass label from Radiator Shop
Windshield Washer pump not functioning (or we don't know how to use it?)
ISSUES:
Sunroof headliner needs to be glued (see video)
Headliner has water stains/wear near sunroof
Passenger side door is hard to shut/close and needs to be aligned
Chip in Windshield
Chrome trim holding front and rear window discolored (see pictures)
Cracks in dash (see video)
Driver and Passenger seal on rocker panel show some wear from use
Small ground strap from Battery tray to frame needs to be replaced
Small dings in Trim and bigger ding in chrome near deck lid
Rear seats stuffing has lost its loft • No rips or tears present
Carpet needs to be cleaned and also looks very good
Battery hold down missing ?
PAINT and BODY:
Have had the BMW checked by local Body Shop. The paint appears original. The shop owner says that it looks like there was repair to each rear quarter panel and was repainted but the rest looks original. The rear quarter panel - near the bumper on Driver's Side - has been replaced because it does not have the UNDERCOATING/ROUGH TEXTURE type paint that the rest of the lower rocker panels have.
The BMW has scratches and scuffs and need to be buffed out. It presents well from about 10 feet.
Door seals are original and show signs of age and no dry rot
MECHANICAL: From Pre-Inspection Feb. 19, 2016:
Fluids need to be changed • Ignition Tune-Up • Change Fuel Filter
Left Rear Shock seep
Clutch Slave seep
Right front strut seep
Shifter kisses drive line and is not considered a safety issue (see video)
