I am selling my beautiful 540i at a loss. This is a gorgeous car, and FAST, excellent handling, if you know BMW you know what I am talking about. The reason I am selling it is because last year as I was driving to work the power just cut out and it drifted to a stop, rather than spend a lot on diagnostics I am getting a newer Yukon that is more suited to my needs. This car is definitely worth putting some money into. If you are mechanical, you could probably fix it yourself, I have done almost all my own work on various BMW's I have owned. Car ran beautifully, shifted perfect, high speed (I've had her up to 140 mph, zero wobble, smooth) but last fall as I was driving to work, power cut out, there was no noise or damage I could hear. As for what it needs, there were a couple undercarriage components it needed, which I have purchased and they come with the car, also as she was sitting, some idiot put a small dent in the driver door about knee level, could be fixed easily, also the driver side window is popped out of it's track or something. All easy shit. Has practically brand new Hankook tires on aluminum wheels. If you are good with cars, this is a hot ride for a cheap price.
