Up for sale is a 2001 740i Sport, with low miles (less than 8, 000 per year), in a rare and desirable color combination: Jet Black exterior with Black Leather interior.
I've owned the car for three years, and have only put roughly 20, 000 miles on it in that time. It's my weekend/pleasure cruiser, and it's been babied and tastefully upgraded. It has also had thousands of dollars in recent maintenance.
Here are some of the highlights of the car:
- Front Driver and Passenger Heated Sports seats, in excellent condition;
- Two sets of wheels are included: The stock 18 Style 37 wheels (M-Parallels), on excellent condition tires. Second, an upgraded set of 19 Style 95 wheels, which were optional on the newer 7 series, like the 745i / 745Li, and the 750i/750Li;
- Full frontal suspension rebuild, with upgraded Meyle HD parts (made in Germany), done a little over 12, 000 miles ago;
- Full rear end rebuild, with OEM BMW parts, done around 1, 000 miles ago;
- Upgraded widescreen navigation with 2015 maps and backup camera;
- Lowered on BC Coilovers, installed around 5, 000 miles ago; 20mm spacers in the rear with rolled fenders all around and replica Alpina front lip;
- Customized steering wheel, with AMG paddle shifters, Ultra Racing strut bar, Steptronic transmission and 3.15 (Sport) rear differential;
- Angel eyes on headlights, power folding mirrors, 750iL interior upgrades, and other small details that I may have forgotten;
- aFe cold air intake, M60B40 high-flow intake manifold, and free-flow exhaust with stock resonators and dual Yonaka tips;
- Custom high-performance tune by a well-known BMW performance shop in Seattle (DUDMD),
- Zimmerman high-performance brakes with Akebono pads (installed less than 3, 000 miles ago)
- Full cooling and intake system overhaul (5, 000 miles ago)
There is certainly more that I can't recall right now, but these are the highlights.
Obviously, I've only ever used BMW-approved synthetic oil and premium gas.
As with any BMW, there are a few minor issues that I have not yet resolved:
- The headliner is starting to sag, but I've used fasteners to hold it up until I can find a suitable replacement;
- The brake pedal pulsates slightly on very low speed stops; it does not impact braking performance, but is worth mentioning.
And that's pretty much it. This is hands down the best E38 740i available on the market currently, and is very likely one of the best in the country, period. Please contact me for more information.
Please don't waste your time or mine with unreasonable offers.
Thanks,
