Description:
This model 740il is one of the most popular vehicles BMW ever made. It was purchased earlier this year for my son who got accepted to an out of state college and has no use for a car. With only 184, 000 it runs and drives like it has 18, 000 miles.
The good news:
The engine is strong, transmission shifts smoothly, AC blows freezing cold air, shocks, struts, suspension is great. There are no noises or rattling whatsoever. The inside is beautiful, brakes are fine and the tires are good. The car also just had a synthitic oil change.
The bad news:
Although the body and paint look great for a 15 year old vehicle there is some rust on and around the doors and wheel wells. I did the best possible job in showing all the spots in the pictures, which I believe I did. The pixcels on the dash are worn out and you have to look very carefully to read the odometer. As always, I welcome and recommend third party inspections. There is a BMW dealership 10 minutes away and I am happy to bring it there. If the body were mint this car would be a bargain at 10k.
