Up for sale is a 2001 BMW 740iL. The car is in excellent condition, in Biarritz Blue Metallic with gray interior (best color combination). The pictures were taken in Fort Lauderdale but the car is in Virginia now. This car is highly optioned, and a breakout of the build sheet is displayed below. Engine runs great, transmission shifts great, all accessories work. Highlights are stability control, parking distance warning system, heated seats front and rear, rear sun shades, heated steering wheel, power sun roof, power tinted windows, foot rests (not installed, still in the original plastic bag in the trunk), tilt and telescoping steering wheel, memory steering wheel, navigation system, CD player, etc etc. Air conditioning blows cold. Factory tinted windows are in beautiful condition. Four matching Michelin tires in the correct size in excellent condition. Factory BMW wheels in excellent condition with no curb marks. Original owners manuals. Four keys: two standard keys with built-in remotes, a valet key, and an emergency key.
The car shows evidence of excellent maintenance. It spent most of it's life in Atlanta where it was garaged (it is not sun faded) and maintained well, before being traded in for a new Mercedes. Clean Carfax. It does have a few minor imperfections. It has three or four door dings, not bad enough to chip the paint. It has a few scratches, but none which penetrate the paint. The front right corner (tip) of the hood is very slightly dented and scratched. Left rear quarter window sun shade does not retract. The ski bag is missing from the trunk, you can purchase one of these cheaply and easily if you need one. These imperfections are minor and do not detract from the beauty or functionality of the vehicle.
I just bought this car recently and drove it back from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, (1000 miles) and it ran perfectly. After I got home, I had a service technician check the oil, and he declared it to be full and clear. On so many of these cars, when you raise the hood, you can smell oil where they seep oil a little bit. NOT THIS ONE! It has absolutely no smell of oil under the hood. I currently own a 2001 BMW 740i, and every time I drive that one, I smell the faint smell of oil. Not on this one. This car is the NICER of the two BMWs I currently own. So if this car is so nice, and I just bought it, why am I selling it? Because I think I am going to be FIRED from my job this week. For real. I know! I am in shock about it right now.

Again, the car is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. Recently passed Virginia safety inspection and emissions inspection. I hold a clear recently issued Virginia title with no liens. I am an honest person, having both bought and sold cars here on eBay. If you purchase this car, you will have no trouble whatsoever with the transaction. I live near Washington Dulles airport if you needed to fly in. I would pick you up at the airport. You could drive the car to California without any problems if you were so inclined.
