Up for sale is my 2006 BMW M3 Convertible, black exterior with terracotta leather interior.
I absolutely love this car, but it's costing me a fortune to maintain, and as I get older I am less and less interested in working on it all the time.  Face it, if you pay someone to maintain a BMW, it can be expensive.  Obviously, I am selling it ridiculously cheap, and there's a reason for that:  it has some issues.  I am being up-front with the issues so you can buy with confidence, knowing exactly what you're getting.  Reserve price for this auction is set at $7, 000.

Options/Notes: 81, 500 miles Manual 6-speed transmission Xenon headlights, with motorized leveling connected to suspension Power seats, with memory 3.2L inline 6 cylinder M3 engine, 330 HP Aftermarket Dynavin N6 entertainment center with CD, DVD, MP3, bluetooth audio, bluetooth phone, USB stick, SD card, reverse camera.  I spent about $1, 000 for this upgrade alone. All brake calipers professionally sandblasted and painted red.  All brake rotors are sport drilled and slotted (from ECS Tuning).  Stainless steel brake lines.  All installed at 75k miles. Drive shaft flex disk (guibo), and center drive shaft bearing replaced at 80k miles. European front bumper w/no side marker lights Drained and refilled manual transmission fluid and rear differential fluid at 80k miles. Convertible top is in great shape, regularly treated with Raggtop protectant. Black aftermarket 19 wheels, 1 wider than stock 19 BMW wheels.
What's wrong with this car: It has a rebuilt title.  I knew this when I bought it, but planned to keep it forever so I didn't care.  I bought it in 2013 with 63, 500 miles on it.  The paint quality is less than perfect factory quality, but seriously not a big deal, and doesn't get noticed unless you are super close to it.  Other than that, you would never know this is a rebuilt vehicle; it looks and runs great! It has had a series of EML light problems, which I don't think are completely gone.  I had one indy shop work on the EML problem and replaced both throttle position sensors, and the throttle actuator.  This didn't fix it so I gave up on them and went to the local BMW dealer.  They have performed the throttle body linkage adjustment, and recommend replacing both throttle position sensors, and the throttle actuator again, because they didn't do it themselves.  I am told that if replacing these parts again didn't solve the issue, it is with the DME or the DME wiring harness.  If you study the M3 forums, you will find tons of information on this known issue, and there are options on the DME other than the BMW dealer.  It runs perfectly fine most of the time.  Every so often (anywhere from 50-500 miles) of driving, it throws an EML light and stores a code.  Sometimes it also goes into limp mode.  If you are familiar with these cars you know this can be reset by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.  I am not interested in continuing to chase this problem, and am pretty fed up with BMW cars in general due to the high cost of maintenance, so I am getting out. The 2 rear tires are in need of replacement very soon. There is a crack in the windshield.
