You are bidding on a 2001 BMW M3 Convertible with the sought after 6 speed manual gear box. This is NOT the SMG transmission. I have not owned this very long and hate to sell it, but some family issues have come up and it's time to down size. Within the past month it's been inspected and serviced by the local BMW dealer here in Omaha, NE. I have the full inspection sheet. These cars have notorious subframe issues, however, this car checked out with flying colors from the inspection. It received all new spark plugs and a new coil while being serviced. The inspection stated that tires and brakes were all within spec. It also has had a fresh oil change within the last 50 miles, with the TWS BMW oil used strictly for the M engines. I also have the clean car fax that I can email if requested. I can have the car inspected again at the buyers cost where ever you'd like. Please come and inspect the car if you can, before bidding. I've told all the defects that I know of in the description above.
The car runs and drives great. Everything in the interior works as it should, cruise, radio, heated seats, power windows and door locks. Comes with original BMW tire pump in the trunk even.
Underneath its bulging hood lay the final form of BMW's race-derived naturally aspirated inline-6 S54 engine, making 333 horsepower, winding out to over 8000 rpm, with a torque curve flatter than a tone-deaf American Idol contestant. It gets from a stop to 60 MPH in less time than it took you to read this sentence.
There are two gearbox options: The manual 6-speed, and the SMG 6-speed. Let's cut to the chase - you want the manual. The SMG trips over its untied shoelaces when in traffic, and although it can be quite fun when approaching the speed limit, its affinity for eating clutches on hard launches and its inability to keep the SMG pump working for a prolonged time make it something to skip completely. -- Tavarish on here

PAYMENT TYPES / DEPOSIT
We accept payment via PayPal (Deposit ONLY), bank check, certified check, cashier check or wire transfer for remaining balance. Personal checks, PayPal and credit cards are NOT accepted for balance. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due within 24 HOURS of auctions close. Remaining balance to be paid within 3 DAYS of the close of the auction, or vehicle will be put back on market and deposit will be forfeited. If you feel you may not be able to complete the transaction within the time frame described above, please contact me through ebay to discuss if other arrangements may be made.
