You are looking at a remarkable 1958 Buick Century Four door hardtop. One of the most glitziest cars every made in the age of fins and chrome. It is finished in an original two-tone of Artic White over Sky Blue Metallic. The styling is so outlandish, that the rear doors seem to disappear, giving the car an appearance of a 2 door car.
This particular car has lead a charmed life. Treated to a professional restoration in the past, it took best of show at the 1999 Buick Club of America national convention. That speaks volumes of the attention to detail that went into this car. You can see an example of this level of detail in the photo showing the rear axle. The factory color stripping, indicating what ratio rear end is in the car, can been in that photo.
This restoration has held up extremely well. The car is showing 52K miles and I believe its accurate but you make the call. The paint, chrome and interior still looks excellent and you could take it to car show and probably win a trophy. It's that nice.
The item that could use some attention would be the headliner as it shows some staining, but it is original. Additionally, the brake booster is giving the brake pedal a hard feeling. It was recently rebuilt , but does need to be removed again for adjustment. Other than that, get in and drive it home.
It would cost you a fortune to restore a car like this to this level due to all the beautiful chrome and stainless. So why not make a respectable offer and start enjoying the pride of ownership this summer.
