The Regal Grand National has an all black exterior nearly devoid of chrome, four highly styled chrome-plated wheels, a performance tuned, firm riding Gran Touring suspension and two tone cloth bucket seats, the Grand National was a street machine for those who wanted to stand apart from the crowd and on May 5th, 1986 the original owner who is now 80 years old did just that when he was finally able to pick up the Grand National he had ordered.
The Grand National is powered by the most advanced high-performance engine offered by Buick at the time! It was the 3.8-litre V-6 with sequential-port fuel injection plus turbocharger and intercooler- an engine designed to perform and it did! It had successfully knocked the Corvette off the top of the list for the baddest and fastest American made cars at the time!
The Grand National was ordered and delivered to Deal & Davie in Susanville, CA for the original owner who owned the vehicle until 2001. He used the vehicle on the weekends and for vacations up and down the coast. He kept all the maintenance records in a little red binder with the last entry on 8/18/01 with the stated mileage of 63769. He reluctantly sold the vehicle to a Civil Engineer who kept the car for a short period of time before selling it to a car collector. The car had changed hands a few times before making it's way to Alabama to sit inside a garage along side a beautiful Regal T Type for a few years until I came along and purchased it from another very reluctant seller who at the time was in his 70's. The car now sits in my garage in Nashville, TN and I have decided to pick up where the original owner had left off in his little red binder with the all of the maintenance that has been performed on the car and the stated mileage of 63769.
The Grand National is beautiful inside and out! Everything works! The Grand National runs and drives like it should! Fast! The interior on this car is in great shape minus a spot on the headliner that has started to sag. Minimal! The 30 year old lacquer paint is in great shape even with the factory flaws minus a few thin spots where the paint has gotten a little thin from 30 years of waxing and one spot where the lacquer paint has started to check but non of these areas would give me any concern or keep me from weekend car shows. The car still looks amazing!
This Grand National is original and unmolested and it's meant to be enjoyed and would make any new owner proud!
This is a no nonsense auction so the first bid will win it unless your bidding against someone else! A non-refundable deposit of $2000.00 will be due at end of Auction!

“Original and unmolested 1986 Buick Grand National in overall great shape! The interior is almost perfect minus a spot in the headliner where it's started to sag. The exterior paint is almost perfect minus a couple of spots where the lacquer has started to thin from years of waxing and one spot where the lacquer has started to check but none of these areas would justify a new paint job at this point in it's life. The Grand national is a beautiful car!” |
