Selling our 1986 V8 Twin Turbo Grand National 28, 000 miles.
This car is being sold turn-key, as-is, as shown.
Brief History of this car:
We purchased it as a roller and built it from the ground up at our shop, SD Concept Engineering, Inc. (SDCE). Our purpose for building it was to use it to develop several of our new products such as our Air/Fuel Innovations (AFI) intake manifold, our twin turbo kit, our fuel pump, etc. We also used the car to show potential customers what it feels like to drive 800+ flywheel horsepower and to demonstrate how fast 800+ horsepower really is in a full steel bodied 3500 lb street car.
This is absolutely the nicest and most well-built street-strip car you will find, it is not an auction junker. Over $60k was invested in this authentic build and it is very well documented. All engine blueprint sheets will go with the car.
During the race season of 2015, we competed with this car in the Fastest Street Car Top 10 List at New England Dragway and held the #2 spot for 12 weeks with no issues.
The car has run a best of 9.02 @ 152.66 mph in Oct 2015 at New England Dragway. We have over 70 time slips from the race season of 2015. All passes were within 150 MPH and all consistent low 9 second ET’s.
Aside from being a very straight and fast racer, she maintains excellent street manners for summer cruising. Switching from street mode to race mode is very simple.
When the need arises to race at your local track, you simply swap to the race tires and rims (INCLUDED!!), put race gas in the tank, flip the switch on the console, and go!
If you want to race the car on the 10 psi pump gas street tune, you can do that too. She will still run a respectable 9.70 et @ 140mph on 93 octane pump gas!
This car has been meticulously monitored while dialing it in to it's full potential. It is NOT a car that has been beat to death, nor is it on it's last leg. We built this car to last - it is not the typical patched together to quickly dump special.
It was built right the first time and if used as intended without pushing it beyond it's means and following a normal maintenance schedule for a car of this calibur, it should give you many years of 9 second street and strip enjoyment!
