This beautiful example of American craftsmanship was purchased by my Aunt on April 18, 1979 from a long standing dealership in Cleveland, Ohio. The Buick LeSabre Limited withblack landau top was very nicely equipped and had many accessories added by the dealer including but not limited to, body side moldings, chrome wheels, accent striping, drivers side manual mirror, and rust preventer spray on under carriage and frame. This two door black coupe came standard with automatic transmission, power brakes, power steering, high energy ignition system, catalytic converter, custom steering wheel, notchback seats, deluxe wheels, custom rocker panel moldings, wheel opening moldings, front and rear bumper protect strips, inside hood lock release. Extras include custom seat belts and front shoulder belts, electric door locks(work), soft ray tinted glass, power windows(work strong), power seat 6-way, carpet mats, door edge guards, electric rear window defogger, air conditioning manual controls, rear axle asm 2.41 ratio, cruise master, engine upgraded to V8 301 cu in 4.9 litres with 2BBL carb.Tilt steering column, delco GM am/fm stereo radio. Exterior molding package including wide rocker panel, front and rear fender lower, belt reveal, and window frame scalp moldings.Sunshade, map, and courtesy lights and electric clock(works). Gray cloth interior is in really nice shape and has very minimal wear for it's age and NO tears. Black Landau top is original and in excellent condition. This vehicle is fully documented. I have all the paper work from the original new car purchase order, retail offer to purchase, invoice, oil changes, and most if not all receipts for work performed over the last 36 years. This vehicle has been driven only 2300 miles during the past 10 years. (Documented) . However, during this time, it has been well maintained and ALWAYS garaged. It was rustproofed upon purchase in 1979. Vehicle comes as is with no warranty, shipping is payed by buyer. The car runs and drives beautifully. Very smooth like gliding on air. It's a strong durable reliable beast made of pure steel. I installed a new exhaust (muffler and tail pipe) , new battery, and had the carburetor professionally rebuilt. Tires have great tread. Doors are solid and do not sag. Trunk, well you know, big enough for 6-8 bodies, (ha ha). The floors, trunk, and fire wall are all very solid.I would estimate that the car is 95 % original. The very few negatives regarding this car would be the small areas of surface rust on various areas of the car. They are no larger than quarter size and number less than ten. They are not through the body, just surface. The roof paint is spidering. The interior plastic moulding is faded and discolored on some areas. The molding that runs horizontal on the doors to protect it from dings and dents needs replaced. The plastic bumper molding has cracked and has no adverse affect to the integrity of this masterpiece.
