This is a very rare and beautiful muscle car. The car is numbers matching with a 3 speed manual transmission. I understand that this is 1 of only 18 cars with the 3 speed manual option in 1970. The car is burnished saddle with the same color interior and a sandalwood convertible top. The Grand Sport 455 is the highest quality muscle car made by GM. Cadillac never got into the muscle car game and Buick was the next quality name down the line at GM. This car was out of reach for the average muscle car buyer and is often considered the banker's muscle car. Check out the history of the incredible 455 engine. Like virtually every car of the era, 1970 was the pinnacle year for performance with significant reductions in torque and hp for 1971 and beyond. I have owned the car for a little more than 18 months and have driven it very little. I have other cars and have decided to thin the herd. Following are the improvements made to the car during my ownership
1. New Sony stereo with bluetooth
2. KYB shocks all around
3. Replaced power window cylinders, hoses and bled the entire system
4. Back seat was reupholstered
5. New 2 1/2 Flowmaster exhaust from the headers back with series 40 mufflers
6. R&R exhaust manifold gasket on the driver's side
7. New thermostat
8. New sound barrier under the interior carpet
9. Replaced chrome trim on front bucket seats
10. Rebuilt the carburetor
11. Petronix Ignition and Coil
12. K&N Air Filter
13. 15x8 Torq Thrust Rims with steel belted radial tires
14. Original Buick 14x7 rims with G70 bias ply tiers to be included with the sale
15. New fuel sending unit
In short, I have given this car much love. Most of the above was done in the first 3 months of ownership. She is a solid 2 car and could easily be a 1, but I don't want a trailer queen. I probably drive her once every 10 days and rarely more than 20 miles each outing. I have retained all receipts for the car and have documentation as well. The paint is in overall very good shape with some nicks and scratches. The top looks great except for a 2 horizontal tear next to the rear passenger's seat on the right side which has been repaired. She runs great and my reserve is well below the Hagerty valuation of this vehicle. I have several videos I can share on the car. She starts right up and runs very well. I am happy to provide any further information or pics that are requested.
