1963
Buick Wildcat convertible (6, 021 produced) very rare to see one of
these, 36, 000 miles, not sure if this is original, with the condition
of the body on the car I wouldn't doubt it. This is an absolutely
wonderful car, it runs and drives beautiful. From everything that I
can gather going back and talking to the mechanic who worked on it, and digging through the car it has a wildcat 355 engine in it 300
cubic inch, 4 barell 2 speed transmission. This is not the original
engine the 401 was the smallest available in 63, it has great pick up
and power. I bought it from a mechanic who worked on it for the
previous owner who owned it for 20 years. The man passed away shortly
after the mechanic bought it. The convertible top motor was replaced
a couple of years ago, master cylinder rebuilt a couple of months
ago, new shocks and dual exhaust. The top was new probably 10-15
years ago and is presentable there is a 1/4” tear on the passenger
side of the top above door see pics, and the transmission was rebuilt
a few years ago. Factory tachometer, buckets, console. This is an unrestored car one repaint. All original
body panels, the car looks like it has never been wrecked or apart, the body is almost rust free except for small spots behind rear
wheels just on outside, wheelhouses and trunk drops are fine, factory rubber plugs still present in wheel houses and trunk drops, floors
trunk rockers doors inner and outer wheelhouses all rust free.
Interior is a little worn. The car fires right up, no smoke idles good, it does leak a
little bit of oil, about the size of a silver dollar sitting in the
same place for a few weeks, transmission shifts good, the cold engine light stays on till it's
warmed up and has plenty of power. Brakes work good. Tires are good
but have age on them, 5-15” buick ralleys, original jack
