I am helping a family whose father passed away sell his 1969 Buick Gran Sport 400. It was owned by this gentleman for approximately 17 years. Although it is not currently a national show winner it is a very nice clean car that would do well at any local car show and would attract a lot of attention. Included is the original build sheet. It was built at the Wilmington Delaware plant and was sold new at a dealer in Douglasville Pa.
The 400 engine with hood air induction appears to be the original and runs very strong. It has a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with floor shift that shifts smoothly. It also has factory power steering and power brakes. I also has factory installed dual exhaust. The car runs and drives very nice!
The burgundy exterior paint is in amazing condition considering that it was repainted over 15 years ago. It has lots of shine. Quarter panels were replaced at the time when the car was repainted. The trunk and floors are original and are solid. The only weak spot on the body is that there is rust underneath the vinyl roof behind the rear window. The vinyl roof itself is in fair condition.
The engine compartment is in original condition and has not been painted or detailed. As a matter of fact you can still see the original factory markings on the firewall.
The interior is black vinyl and has factory bucket seats. It is in very nice condition.
The family is willing to part with this car at a fair price.
