Just
a quick disclaimer before we get to the good stuff. Please, serious
buyers only. I value my time greatly and am looking to find a passionate
buyer who loves the car and is ready to make the purchase. Please, no
low-ball offers or endless negotiating back and forth for weeks on end. If you want the car, just call me up and we can make a deal. Thank
you for your patience so far, let's get to it!
Up for consideration is a very original and beautiful 1973
Buick Riviera. 1973 marked the last year for the iconic boat tail design
for the Rivieras. The 1973 model year
was also the most luxurious rendition, with a plusher ride and very beautifully
upholstered interiors. This car was
built in Flint Michigan and was a one owner car in Green Bay WI for most of its
life. I am the second owner.
This Riviera has its original Burgundy paint with factory
pin striping and original Oxblood burgundy interior. It has done 96, 250 miles as of this writing
and looks just about brand new inside and out. The body is straight and rust-free and the paint still shines
beautifully. The interior can’t really
be any better than it is. It is all
original and just gorgeous, showing virtually no wear anywhere. The vinyl has a deep shine to it and even the
original shag carpet is clean and wear-free. It has all four original Buick logo floor mats as well. The interior even has that intoxicating
classic car aroma!
The drivetrain is all original, never rebuilt, and is
mechanically sound. It has the original 455 V8 with the original
Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor. Since I've
owned the car, I've installed various new parts to ensure the vehicle is
reliable and roadworthy. I love driving and any car I own just gets
better the longer I own it. It features
a full tune-up including a new distributor with Pertronix Ignitor electronic
ignition so you never have to adjust breaker points, fresh fluids, four new
white wall tires, and a complete new dual exhaust system from the manifolds
back, all professionally installed at Exhaust Pros right here in Madison WI. This car has been looked over and serviced
and is turn-key ready. I would trust it to drive anywhere.
The suspension is all original, even original shocks, so
this car rides just like it did in 1973. And that means a healthy and
enjoyable combination of luxury and muscle car. The car tracks straight
and true, no vibration or drama at any speed. It's smooth, powerful, and
very quiet on the highway. The brakes are spot on and require no service. No pulling or undesirable shakes or shimmies.
This car has power windows and power driver seat that all
work great. All the exterior and interior lights work perfectly. The windshield wipers and horn work great. The heater works very nicely. The car has cruise control and AC, but at
this time they do not function although all the original AC equipment is in
place. All dash gauges work
perfectly.
I am a private seller and the car is located in
Madison. I am looking to sell this
classic to somebody who will truly appreciate it for what it is. Please, no solicitors or scammers. I do not need or want help selling the
vehicle.
Please feel very free to contact me via email or phone with
any questions. My number is 608-520-1707 and my name is Brad. Test
drives and personal inspections are always welcome.
