1966 Buick Skylark

Buick Skylark (1966)
for sale

Price: US $6,000.00

Description:

Up for sale is a very rare, complete and clean 1966 Buick GS. The car has had three owners, the first bought the car new and owned it up until about a year or so ago, then sold onto another gentleman before he sold it to me about half a year ago. I thought I would have the time to really do it right but other cars have came up and this one has to go unfortunately.
The Buick now has a very good running 455 in it mated to a TH400. It idles great, a bit high, but still good, and after 8 months of storage fired right up, even with the battery still connected. There was a 2-3 inch puddle of oil under the car. Not sure what from, but wasn't big enough to be worried about in my opinion, for an old car, especially after 8 months sitting. Car goes down the road nice and tight and the trans shifts great. Doesn't over heat and no smoke from the back. I daily drove it for a week and it was great. The original 401 Nailhead was replaced with this motor in the 80's according to the original owner. It was last inspected in 2014 in Massachusetts.
The body is very straight. No rust in the quarters AT ALL, no rust in the doors or door jambs, fenders are very clean along with front wheel houses. The trunk lid and trunk is rotted out, nothing horrible, but a new lid and pan would be in line. The frame is solid and only has a few SMALL spots under the passenger door, which these cars are known for.
The bumpers are above average for a driver, but not show. They have no dents or heavy scratches and really show great. All the trim could use some polishing, with none missing or bent or dented. All the badges are there and mirrors and such. Grille isn't cracked or missing.. Car is extremely complete and clean for a project car thats 50 years old.. I have all new emblems, complete lock set, lug nuts, and a couple miscellaneous stickers from OPGI.
Interior is all there and complete. Headliner is gone. It's a bucket seat, console car and is very desirable.
Please understand that you are buying a very good complete project car.. it needs work but is a great start.
The Buick is a real GS and the vin is 4461767-101293 and breaks down as the following:
4= Buick
46= Gran Sport
17= 2dr Hardtop
6=1966 model year
7= Built in Baltimore
101293 being build number
The plate on the firewall says RC under paint code which denotes a Flame Red paint job with white interior, so the car was repainted at some point.
I think I have described the car very well and to the best of my abilities. If you have any questions please contact me at 412-613-0021. The car is located in Pittsburgh, PA. Payment is through check or cash only. No paypal. Have title in hand.
Plenty of extra brand new parts from OPGI in packaging still are including. Things like emblems, washers, stickers, lug nuts, and other small items. Absolute steal with everything here.
