What I have up for auction is a true 1967 Buick GS400. I bought this after my dad passed as we were both fans of Buick and I have owned this for nearly 20 years. I have held on to this in hopes that I will have time and funds to work on it. The stars have not aligned for me and in trying to do this car justice, I am hoping someone will have the passion to put this back to the awesome muscle car it once was. Starting with the details first. What is under the hood is a 455 that has had a lot of internal parts and machine work done. The rebuilt motor has less than 6000 miles on it. I have the factory 67 GS Star Wars air cleaner and it is in good shape, just dirty. I also have the factory 400 engine block that we borrowed parts from. It is basically just an empty block at this point. Also left in the engine bay is the factory A/C. It worked for me for one summer but I would say it needs some help at this point. The block has been bored .030 over, the heads are from a 1967 400 engine and have been shaved .040. The carburetor is a Rochester 850 with electric choke and vacuum secondaries from a 1977 Cadillac. The ignition system is powered by an MSD 6AL system. The transmission is a TH400 with shift kit installed. The rear gear ratio is 2.91 : 1. Factory dual exhaust and stock 15 Buick rally wheels. It still has functioning 4 wheel drum brakes as we have moved/pushed this car around in the area it sits in. The interior has bucket seats with the small center console. Aftermarket gauges have been installed along with a tach mounted on the steering wheel. The optional features to the car was power antenna and speed warning that is set on the speedometer. There is a bunch of miscellaneous parts in the trunk along with some spare engine parts. Back in the day, I used to enter this car in the local cars shows and run it at the local drag strip. It was a sharp rare car in my area and had the horsepower to run at over 100mph in the 1/4 mile. All parts not seen in the pictures are in the car somewhere. Everything is there for the car, just some of them aren't where they are supposed to be. Now to move on to the what's wrong with it portion. The car was parked more than 10 years ago because the forward gears were going bad. The car ran and drove when it was parked and hasn't been started since. The car worked fine in reverse. Forward you needed to get the car moving before it would hook up and go. Best way to describe it is like a stick shift with a bad clutch. The engine was last turned over about 7 years ago. I have not tried since and can not verify it today(no longer have the tools). The frame had no issues when it was parked more than a decade ago. The actual mileage on the car is 71, 940. The speedometer was replaced and the garage that did the work refused to swap out the odometer. The difference between what it is reading and actual is 17006 miles. The body is where a lot of the issues will be that you find wrong with the car. The pictures clearly show numerous areas of metal that have seen better days. There are a few small holes and areas that will need immediate attention. The vinyl top is basically shot at this point. The windshield has a small leak in the base somewhere and allows water down the back of the dash/wiring and onto the floor of the drivers side. One of the photos shows where the floor has a hole in it and would need patched. The headliner is sagging and the seat upholstery is dried out and cracked. It will need to be redone or some new seat covers. The carpet has water damage and old age going against it. The trunk is showing some areas of rust and holes. Most of it is solid but you can see there are some bad spots. Overall the car is not a basket case but it is by no means something you will have on the roads in a few weeks. I can provide any details not listed here and would be more than willing to get any other photos of the car I have not posted. This car will not drive so you will need to have some type of transportation arranged to get this home. I can help here at my end in getting it on a trailer or working with a shipping carrier but I will not make the arrangements to have this shipped. That must be arranged or taken care of by the buyer. I can help in any other way I possibly can. Purchase will require non refundable down payment with balance due before vehicle is to be picked up. I will accept cash or cashiers check as form of payment. Please look through all of the pictures and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks and GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!
