The Bad:1. Branded Title. I have pictures of what the car looked like when it was damaged. I bought it from a guy that bought it from the person that had it fixed. He bought it from an insurance auto auction.2. CARFAX says miles issue. Looks like it was bought at an insurance auction in 2011. Having worked at a auction I know it's not uncommon for them to mark “miles unknown” on a vehicle that is not driveable. The picture of the ODO from auction matches the odo reading on CARFAX so I wasn't to concerned. Make your own guess3. With a branded title it obviously has some paint work. The right front fender and rear spoiler are the worst. I tried to capture it in the videos 4. Some minor dents in the roof. See pics. Also my cats like to slide down the car and scratch the crap out of it. I tried to get got shots of them in the video but they didn't show very well. I think they could be buffed out. 5. Previous owner smoked in the car. Small burn hole in driver’s seat. Previous owner was a mechanic and apparently didn’t wash his hands before he got in the car. Some of the headliner and interior is stained. Minor 6. Oil Pressure always read 129psi7. In the summer with the AC on sometimes get the Oil Temp warning Msg. As soon as you turn off the A/C it goes back to normal so it's a indication problem. Common with these cars8. Seepage at the rear main seal. Power steering rack also has a small leak. I’ve had the car for about 2 years and it’s parked in my garage. No drips ever on the floor but when you’re under the car you can see it. 9. After sitting for a couple of days there is a noticeable clunk in the rear when going over bumps. Seems to go away after driving for awhile. I think it needs new struts.10. Every now and then the transmission seems to catch a little going from 1st to 2nd.11. When you turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and right like when you backing out of a parking space it just started making a strange very light kind of ticking noise. You can hear it in the Video12. Something is whistling above about 50mph. You can hear it in the video.13. Minor leak on the PCV hose. Leaks a little oil on the valve cover. Sometimes you get a brief burnt oil smell. 14. The TPMS sensor in the right rear tire is bad. PSI is good but the light stays on and the gauge on the dash does not change.
Having said all that it's a solid car that is very fun to drive. I get lots of compliments.
The Good:1. Maggie Installed. Unsure of tune or who installed. I’ve never been to the track or dyno. Previous owner hadn’t either. Runs good. A little cold blooded in the morning. No funny noises. 2. CS 8.8 installed by previous owner. It was whining a little on decel so I had it rebuilt with new gears, bearings etc. Custom made axles. Org driveshaft modified to work with the 8.83. New Nav Buttons 4. Newish tires5. Stock exhaust with muffler delete. 6. Eibach Springs7. BMR anti-Hop8. I installed new motor mounts about a year ago.
I can take additional picture or video of anything you need just let me know.
