Up for sale is my Mild Kustom 1968 Deville Convertible. This car is in fantastic shape, it has been in New England for 5 years but is from Nevada. It has never seen a winter other than through the garage window. This new engine only has 7400 on it. The frame is immaculate. There are '68 Deville's for around $18G with tired engines and crusty undersides. You will still have pay a lot more than this to get it into this condition.
So many update, fixes, corrections have been done that there is little to do but gas and go. This car turns head where ever it goes. It's just so long and low! You can keep it as is and do nothing for years or go for a fancy paint job if you want. But really you don't have to do a thing, it gets enough attention.
I change the regularly oil, since it is cheaper than repairs. I do it once when it goes to bed in November so it sits with fresh oil, change again when I take it out in Mid April, and then again, if miles don’t dictate earlier, in Mid July.
The list of work done are as follows.
There is a Maximum Torque Specialties built '74 Cadillac 500 CI with #5 Cam installed in 2013.
Total 134A R4 AC complete refit with 80s style compressor (POA, Evaporator, Condenser, Lines, Hoses, Dryer).
New 4 row custom made Aluminum Radiator with trans cooling, Auto Meter Oil, and Temp gauges installed.
Chromed Head Light Trim, Chrome Custom Tube Grill, Coker WWW on powder coated steelies with SS trim rings
Lou's Custom's Exhaust Duals with SS Mufflers (sweet sounding but not loud), I have a 1964 Steering Wheel custom adapted to the '68 column
Chrome Alt with internal regulator with by for functioning generator light, all belts and hoses replaced, new Heater Core and Blower Motor
Interior lined in Dynamat under new molded carpet. All new roof, gaskets, hydraulics and lines done. 4 new power window motors
Brake Booster & Brakes done, rear end gear work and new gasket. All worn front end components replaced with new
Jamco 3 Drop Kit (Not cut coils) Rebuilt Trans, new PS Pump, GM HEI Distributor, and Custom Aluminium Pulleys from Cad Company
Edelbrock Performer intake and Performer Carb with Elec Choke, Ash tray converted to mini glove box. Pioneer super tuner in Glove Box with
kick panel and back seat speakers. Previous owner rechromed bumpers and recovered interior in maroon.
This car is more than just an old stock '68 Deville. It has been done with taste and reliability in mind. We drive this weekends in the summer and it travels like a dream. There are a few '68s out there but none like this Sweet Rag Top! Car cover, original springs, stock intake and headlight trim will be in the trunk for you.
