Cadillac's claim to fame in the '70s was the world's largest production V8, a 500 cubic inch monster that provided effortless torque to move these big land yachts with ease. They're also remarkably durable and reliable machines, with a Rochester 4-barrel carburetor up top and an HEI ignition system. With a new paint job, new upholstery and a factory air cleaner, all the original accessories are fully functional. It's backed by a durable TH400 3-speed automatic spinning 2.73 gears out back, so highway cruising is smooth and silent. This car was owned by an elderly couple when I purchased it earlier in the year. It's been babied! Everything on this car including the original owner's manual suggests that this a car that has always been well-maintained. Newer 235/75/15 Vogue whitewall radials have been fitted to custom wire spoke rims and it still rides like a hovercraft.
