This is a very complete 1940 LaSalle coupe. The car runs and drives and is in need of completion. I am listing this for the owner of the car whom is 72 years old and would rather i answer all question that a potential buyer may have.This car has been through my shop and we have completed the body work and painting of this LaSalle. It is what I consider a a nice driver quality paint job and with a little more buffing it would be even nicer. The car has a new clutch, pressure plate, & throw out bearing. It starts right up a purrs like a kitten. The car shows 74K miles and came from the western part of the US and has no rust. All areas that did have rust were cut out a repaired with new sheet metal, most older repairs that had lead in them were cleaned out and repaired also. The body is rust free and has fresh paint. The wiring is old and in need of replacement. The lights are non functional at this time. the tires are very old and are in need of replacement. It has a new master cylinder and new brake lines but will need some adjusting it stops like a 75 year old car. The exhaust is in need of replacement. There has been no work done to the under side of the car but i will say that it is very clean with surface rust only and no rotted areas. The interior is complete also, all knobs are there and all door handles are there. Basically the car has been finished from the door jambs out and was taken apart and painted so there are no tape lines. All lights, chrome pieces, fenders, hood, and trunk were removed for painting.
