1939 Cadillac 60 Special Town Car by Durham Body. This car is one of 3 produced. This car is said to have been owned by the William Wrigley family in Chicago, and used as their Opera car. However I do not have any documentation to that fact. The car was body off restored in the 70’s, then sold to another restorer who put in a Chevy engine, and automatic transmission along with power brakes and rear air conditioning. Nothing was cut, and original wheels, brake drums, steering, and rear end are original. So if you wish, you could put it back to original with a weeks work. I have another Running 1939 Cadillac 60 Special that goes along with this car if you want to switch back to original.
This car was put in storage in the mid 80’s until now. The car has a spot where the paint is bad right where you put in the gas. This is one nice, rare Cadillac. I have known and followed this car since the 1970’s. I might take part trade.
