1939 CADILLAC WOODIE PROJECT- BUILT BY JOS. WILDANGER AND CO. , RED BANK, NJ.. THEY WERE A PROMINENT COACH BUILDER FOR THE CARRIAGE TRADE OF NEW YORK. THE FIRST OWNER ORDERED A 1939 CADILLAC CONVERTIBLE SEDAN, SERIES 61 , . THIS CAR WAS SOLD NEW AT FISHER CADILAC IN NEWARK, NY AND WENT STRAIGHT TO WILDANGER FOR MODIFICATION INTO THIS CAR. TO USE TO CARRY HIS GUNS AND DOGS ON HUNTING TRIPS. IT WAS PASSED DOWN FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION THEN SOLD IN THE EARLY 1990'S. THIS OWNER TOOK IT APART TO RESTORE IT, NEVER HAPPENED. LOST SOME PARTS ALONG THE WAY. WHAT I HAVE FOR SALE IS THE BODY , WHICH IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THE ORIGINAL MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION , THE RUST FREE FENDERS. MOULDINGS, DOORS , WINDOWS. ETC. I BOUGHT A 1939 CADILLAC SERIES 61 4 DOOR AS A PARTS CAR FOR THE CHASSIS AND OTHER BITS.THE CAR COMES WITH THE BODY SHOP DOLLY INCLUDED. STEERING COLUMN, ETC, FRONT SUSPENSION, DOOR HINGES AND TAILGATE HINGES, I DO HAVE ONE DOOR HINGE. MISSING WINDOW REGULATORS AND INSIDE DOOR PANELS. I HAVE A GRILL FROM THE PARTS CAR. I THINK I HAVE MOST OF THE OUTSIDE MOULDINGS. IN THE PHOTOS ARE SOME RUNNING BOARDS. I DONT THINK THEY ARE FROM THIS CAR, BUY THE BUYER CAN HAVE THEM. I DID NOT TAKE IT APART SO DONT GET MAD AT ME. !
