When we bought the car, it was just abandoned in a garage, and upon inspection, we discovered that the only thing that was not working was the battery and the shocks looked worn out. Some engine parts were also not reliable; tires were worn, and so we decided to buy it, since we had a TRUE ORIGINAL, and make her work again the way it used to.We put some and then more into it. She now has new paint (full paint job), we recovered the engine, and made it powerful again; and proceeded to make her look like she used to.The car has the features that it had when it was first sold. She even has the original AM radio! The car was purchased from a family member, no one has ever owned it but my family. The story is a long one that involves long periods of time in which it was just never driven for various reasons; first, when she was purchased, it was acquired to be the family car; then my uncle was not able to drive it because he got a job in another city...my aunt would not even think of driving it, as she has never been able to drive at all. Then my uncle had a chauffeur from the company he worked for, and so on, until the car just was old, and he had a new one. Then he passed away, and my aunt just wanted this baby to belong into the family, but I could not resist to drive it around for a while. After restoring it, driving it, and enjoying it for some time, the wife convinced me of just selling it to a collector that can appreciate it truly.Anyway, right now, she has brand new paint, runs fantastic, and it is definitely a looker! When making an offer, you must consider coming to Colombia to pick it up...let's talk. We are in Medellin, Colombia; I really believe this is worth the trip. All the logistics have been researched, and I am told it is not a big problem to ship her to the States. We can accommodate payments depending on the circumstances but we will have to comply with eBay rules, so the car will not leave Colombia without proper payment.I am told you have no problem getting the car into the States, as it is a 1957, but consulting a broker is recommended, as I am not an expert in exporting cars.Come and drive it!

“Owned by an uncle and me, since 1957. Original manual delivered with the car; when purchased, we restored it to maximum standards ordering original parts. We tried to stick with everything truly original. The car was parked for years in a garage and then I decided to own it.It really is worth the trip and the expense if you like classics.” |
