This 1970 Chevy K5 Blazer was restored from a real straight survivor with original paint. The only rust hole on the body was about the size of a silver dollar over the left rear wheel opening. It still has the factory boxed in reinforcement panels underneath ( behind the rocker panels). These are usually rusted out or completely gone. The body work and paint that is on it now is, in my opinion, near show quality. There are no parking lot dings or paint flaws that I can see aside from two small very minor spots, see walk around video. We do not know a lot about the 454 big block motor except that it runs pretty well and doesn't smoke. We bought it as a project and did notice that the block had been hot tanked and had no paint on it. Normally an engine that was hot tanked would be because it was taken apart for rebuilding but I have no information to back that up. The things we know is that the carb has been rebuilt and tune up work performed, ( plugs, wires, etc). As you can imagine it has lots of torque in this light truck with 4 speed manual transmission. I think it is geared perfect with the larger diameter tires. I am made a virtual drive video to put on YouTube so you can get an idea of how it runs and drives. We DO have the top for it. It is a dual panel version with inner and out layers. It has been spray lined inside and out. The top is presentable and usable but has a couple of spots on it that should have been body worked a little bit more before spraying and it needs one of the new hinge kits, now available, to fix those typical loose fitting rear window hinges. The hinge kits are simple and easy to install. Overall it is a good top- it just needs a little more work to be up to par with the rest of the truck.

Then if you put Blue 1970 K5 454 slow walk around in the search box it will pull that video up. The videos are pretty good and shows the clarity in the paint and body lines when I walk around it slowly after the ride. It also shows the top and more detail on the under carriage. Also I have lots of still shots that I can send to anyone who request them. I will also be happy to shoot more video upon request.
