Time to narrow down my stock so I am selling my Lakewood first. I would rate the car between a 2 and 3 with 1 being the best. The floor pans on driver's side have been replaced due to rust with sheet metal about 5 years ago. Dry as a bone now.
Original seats in great shape. New carpet, headliner, all 4 door panels. Car starts on the first try pretty much every time. The powerglide transmission shifts smoothly when upshifting and thumps on downshift. All lights, wipers, back up lights and interior lights work like they should. Stops, starts and steers well with no pulling. Brakes could use a little adjusting.
I've had this car for around 6 years, taken it to many shows and had a great time with it. Time for someone else to enjoy it. These cars are starting to increase in value, get great gas mileage and run for a long time. You won't win any drag races but is just a great little car to enjoy. They only made the wagons for a year and a half total production somewhere around 34, 000 total out of over 2 million Corvairs made over the entire run.
Odometer reads 78, 219. It works and appears to be original miles but I have no way of knowing for sure.
