Description:

1981 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista
Thinning the collection, to make room for some newer acquisitions.
This is a beautiful El Camino. It's the 2 tone Conquista model, which comes with the 2 tone paint job.
I've had this truck for a little over a year, and below is a list of what I've done to it. Keep in mind, everything on this list is less than 1 year old, and most of it is from within the last couple of months. Big bucks!
Complete repaint. This was a $6500 complete 2 stage, base coat/clear coat job. Including door and hood jambs, and complete inside of bed. It is a beautiful silver and light blue metallic. The bod is very straight, there was almost ZERO bodywork required. I think the estimate showed 4hrs. total bodywork, the rest was prep. and paint. It is a very nice, high dollar paint job. No rust, and no rust repairs required. California truck forever.
All trim, bumpers, doors, and windows were removed, the truck was painted, everything was cleaned, polished, and reinstalled. The truck was painted, and then the entire vehicle was wet sanded, and buffed out, then final polished. New fan belt, and hoses put on. Complete underside was undercoated, mainly for noise reduction. No rust. New horn relay and other minor misc. to be sure everything is in proper working order, and that it's dependable, and reliable.
This El Camino has a beautiful dark blue cloth interior. No sticky vinyl here. Blue cloth bucket seats, with rare center console and floor shift. When is the last time you saw an '81 El Camino with buckets, much less a center console, with a floor shifter?
Carpets and seats are in very good condition, as well as the door panels, and center console. New factory coin holder in front of the console, new visors, new carpeted (curtain) piece that hangs vertically behind seats, and covers the spare tire, and spare tire well. new headliner, new dash mat. Dash underneath is in decent condition, dash mat installed to reduce the hot sun damage here in California.
V8 gas engine, odometer only shows 58K miles, I'm quite sure it's original, and hasn't turned over. This truck runs very well, and passed the strict CA emissions test without any problems whatsoever. In fact, if the buyer is in California, I will smog it again before it's picked up.
A Carfax report might be able to verify the mileage, I don't know. This truck is way to clean to have turned over, in my opinion.
Good looking Alloy wheels, 4 matching tires, cold A/C, cruise control, tilt steering wheel. power steering, power front disc brakes, Bone stock, and it shows. Never been abused, never been cut up, never been modified. The engine compartment, and most everything else looks like the day it rolled off the assembly line. Clean California title, no salvage stuff. Registration expired on 6.30.14, and it is not on a non op. So, if you're a California buyer, you might want to check with the DMV in regard to fees. I don't think it'd be much, it's an older vehicle, and it's only a year out.
