You are bidding on a beautiful, fully restored 1965 Chevrolet Impala Convertible finished in blue with dark blue interior. I am listing this car for my friend Tony who totally restored this car and engine in a full service body and mechanic shop he ran here in Northwest Indiana for decades. He has decided to move to Florida, so is selling this outstanding car as well as three other fully restored muscle cars; a 1964 Impala, a very rare 1970 AMC Javelin, and a 1072 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. Please see my other listings for a full description of those cars. This car is located in Demotte, IN, about an hour south and a bit east of Chicago. This car was acquired by Tony around 1992, and had a complete frame-off restoration. The car received new floors in the cabin and trunk, two new rear quarter panels, reconditioned frame (i.e. stripped and repainted), and all sheet metal was stripped and professionally painted with PPG paint and clear coat. It also has a new top, new carpet, new suspension with air ride, completely new front end (tie rod ends, ball joints, pitman arm, control arm, idler arm, bushings), new brakes, brake lines, fuel lines and new tires and wheels. Tony also has the stock wheels and tires that will go with the car. The car does NOT have A/C, and while it has the factory radio there is also an aftermarket sound system that sounds great! The engine is a totally rebuilt 327 cu. in. 300HP with 202 high compression heads and a 4 bbl carb, all mated to a 2 speed Powerglide Automatic Transmission, which has also been rebuilt. A very rare feature of this car is it has the original owner's manual and badge dealers used to use to record routine maintenance.
