Ok first off here is my disclaimer - I am not a classic car expert, nor am I a Chevy Impala expert. I do however, know a thing or two about newer vehicles. I am conveying this information to the best of my ability and have also provided MANY many pictures and videos for you to gather your own information to form an opinion. That being said:
This 1966 Chevy Impala is just about as clean/original as you will find. All original 283 V8 with Powerglide automatic transmission (please verify with engine and chassis ID). This vehicle has absolutely NO rust, other than some VERY minor surface rust (pictures detail). All chrome, emblems, and moldings are in excellent condition. Door panels, instrument cluster, and headliner are in excellent condition. Carpet is in decent condition. It has been in Arizona and garage kept since 1995 that I know of. It has been driven approximately 10, 000 miles since 1995. I do not know its history before that. To the best of my knowledge, the odometer has not rolled over and this beauty only has 71, 000 original miles! Since 1995 this vehicle has been very well maintained with recent repairs such as:
All new steering linkage, drum brakes, brake lines, valve cover gaskets, transmission filter kit, shocks, and tires. No clunks or rattles in front end, and this car drives straight down the road.
Runs and drives nicely (fires up immediately). Engine does not smoke or have any funky noises (see videos). Transmission shifts perfectly.
Please follow photbucket link for pics of original bill of sale, owners manual and Protect o Plate. Also videos of magnet test for body filler/bondo. Heater and all ventillation controls work great. Vehicle has 4 wheel manual drum brakes

“This car is in excellent condition for its age. Notable flaws are:1. Front seats need to be reupholstered, rear seats are in OK shape2. Weather strips are dried on doors, windows, and trunk3. Turn signal switch works, but is finicky4. Pinstripe scratch on right lower quarter panel5. Some "alligator" texture in paint here and there - Mainly between back window and trunk6. Minor oil leaks - You might see a drip every day or so coming off the front timing cover area7. Dash is in good shape, but does have a couple cracks.I'm certain there are other minor flaws, so please refer to pictures and videos for precise conditions.” |
